MySay Shout Box

Posted in Website Updates on April 7th, 2008

Well I installed a MySay shout box last week. I have not seen any one use it yet.

If you think that it is hard to use let me know. There really isn’t a reason to keep it on the site if someone thinks that it is truely a waste of space. I thought that it might be something that would be fun to do.

So if you are feeling up to it. Call the phone number listed in the software. if you do not want to register your cell number with the software that is fine, and no one is forcing you to do so. It will just make it so that each time you call you will have your name listed with your comment or what you would like to have displayed.

I could get a local number to Atlanta, but I don’t think that it would make a difference. Most all cell phone will dial LD free of charge. I have it on speed dial on my phone so I can check messages and leave them when I’m away from a computer. I may even use it to blog a little bit, the way I did with giving the score updte to the ball game on Thursday night.

At anyrate, I just wanted to inform people that it was up and it is free to use.

Website Outage

I’m sorry about the website outage. I was working on something and got called away and never came back to it. This is what happens with you work more than you sleep. Again I am sorry for not having the site up for those that did stop by while it was down maybe you will return and visit me today.

I’m Ridding Myself and Sight of BlogRush

Posted in Website Updates on November 13th, 2007

BlogRush has brought me little to no traffic at all. I have received 2 hit from BlogRush so far this month. That is not enough to have the widget on my site. The promises that BlogRush made, seem to be false to me. My stats go up and then back down with them. There are much better ways to generate traffic to your blog without using BlogRush.

If you are having good results with BlogRush, great. I am not having good results with them so I will just have to part ways with BlogRush for now. When it becomes a useful tool to have I will be happy to place it back on my site.

Driving traffic to your blog…Just what I have learned.

I have done a lot of reading on different SEO tips. I find that Digg traffic although great at first is not traffic that stays with you for long period of times, I could be retracting that statement because digg.com is highly spidered by google and even post for my blog will show up on digg.com before they site shows up in the rankings.

Sites like these have also increased my traffic. I will not say by a great deal but it does help. I’m not one for social sites but this one seems to be better than most.

Thoof.com is a great site, it is better than digg.com I think. Traffic seems to hang around on the site from there more than from digg.com. I really don’t like high bounce rates.

Also you will want to get awstats install on your site, if you do not already, as well as google analytics. This will help with what key words to use on the site, and what your traffic is really shaping up to be. You will also be able to track patterns and other such things with the stats that both give you. They will not have the same stats but you can’t have a perfect world. I believe google more than awstats, but I use awstats because it updates every 15 min the way I have it set up and I don’t have to wait a day to get my stats.

Changes

Posted in Website Updates on October 22nd, 2007

You may have noticed a few changes here. I don’t know if they are done yet but I’m giving them a rest for the night. Please let me know if you like the changes made. I’m hoping to give more room for what matters and less for what doesn’t. I don’t want to leave anything out though. So let me know if you think that I’m missing something.

Other than that, please continue to enjoy reading Mouseclone.com. I will continue to update and bring you my point of view, how ever twisted that is.
