EntreCard Update – for what it’s worth
I think that it has been about a week from the time that I started EntreCard back up on the site. Wanted to really see how it did. So far it hasn’t done as bad as I would have thought.
My bounce rate is up slightly. I’m not sure if that is because of the weekend or not. Maybe people just grew tired of reading sites and just wanted the 600 EC. I do know that not one person commented though. Which means I either have crappy content or people just didn’t feel like commenting.
Either way it really doesn’t matter that much. I just do not want to see a bounce rate of 98% like I used to with EntreCard. As the story of EntreCard goes right now: So far so good. I will get back with another update next week and see if the trend for the weekend continues.

The problem with EntreCard is you are always going to get a bad bounce rate, due to those that “drop and run”, ok it generates visitors, but generally they are not always the type of visitors that you want!

I’m hoping that with EntreCard being old now people will be more inclined to use it correctly. That doesn’t mean that they will and bounce rates will continue to get higher. After all, it is not like i’m posting tons of useful information. Most of the talk on here is just crap, but something I just wanted to say.
I’ve always thought the maximum drops per day should be lowered. If someone is spending 2 hours every day dropping cards, how will they find time to comment etc? :-(

Perhaps you should take a look at Adgitize, could be also worth your time as you can earn additional up to 1$ per day. But it’s similar traffic like EntreCard… i only saw that i got much more followers since i use EntreCard and Adgitize from April 2009 on.
I had three followers and after 6 months i have now 103 and over 300 visitors each day!
My Adsense had improved in the last weeks, i get some comments on topics like EntreCard, Adgitize or Money-related topics.
I stick with it… no matter if the bounce rate is high… It’s usually high because i just read one article and when i come daily i don’t have to read other articles anymore (only if they interest me :) )

Welcome back. There are certainly problems with Entrecard, but most “free” traffic sources do have their flaws. They really haven’t been doing anything to curb the problem, and advertisers see this – they aren’t advertising through the site. I don’t know how much additional funding they have to run it, but I doubt too much more.

Tried Entrecard, yes, it increased my visitors but really did not increase my comments, and took way too much time out of my day to do 300 drops, I will just find another more productive way to use my time. Met some nice bloggers there, though.
