The Google Smack

You know, I want to thank Google for smacking down my website another 2 notches. The only think that I can think of why they have done this is because of the paid post. Google really doesn’t like people that get paid for posting links to other sites. I remember when I had a PR of 3. Those days are long gone now.

I don’t know if the company that I go though for paid links will allow me to do “no follow” links. I’m really hoping that they do. I don’t know how a site could require a PR of 2+ if they do not allow for people to put in no follow links. There will never be away for me to get a PR back as long as I have a those links up on the site.

The next question is do I really care. I mean after all this is just a personal blog. It is not like I’m trying to attract several thousand people to my blog. Most of the time I don’t really care if anyone reads it. So getting smacked by Google again doesn’t really have that much effect on me.

I do think that sites should allow you to do “no follow’ links. I know that they know that this could hurt sites that post for their company. So I wonder if I will get a response back telling me that I can do no follow links. I don’t think that it will help them as much if I’m at a PR of 0.
