My Java Learning

I finished up Chapter 6 last night in my “Java in Easy Steps” book. I feel like I have learned something. i don’t know how much I will retain, but the only way to test that or to make sure that I retain it is to put it to use.

I really have to thank my brother for all of the help that he has given me. the hardest part that I have had, no matter the programming language, has been arrays. I feel that from the teachings from Porkchop to just pushing though it about 20 times, has made my understanding a little easier.

I know that I stopped programming every single time I hit arrays. I also know that I have written about this before. This time going though chapters 5 and 6 was easy. it was easy to understand, and I didn’t really question a lot about what was going on in the chapter.

I read and retype until my eyes get tired. Then I turn on the Xbox for a few games of something, and then when my hands are cramped from playing an XBox Live Arcade game, I go back to programming. This gives me the needed break from programming and programming gives me the needed break from gaming. This is what I call a Win-Win-Win. this is the only time in my life where I get to win, other wise my wife wins. Something about a game called Sydney Wins, except for that time where she lost to another Sydney.
