#31DBBB No.5 – Readers

The past couple of days I have been following along with 31DBBB, and what Darren Rowse has to say. This has been a great trip so far and I’m looking forward to the 26 days that are left. Each day I read up on ProBlogger and I post what I find is good information here. Why? It helps me to get my thoughts inline. You are just reading my thoughts about to post, to some degree.

Today’s post is about Emailing people who comment on your blog. I have done this in the past, will little to no results. I often think that the reason for this is because my content is not written well enough.

I personally was never really good at English, and thank god for spell checkers. I have over the years tried to be better at commas and other things. I try not to start sentences with but or and anymore. I still have a lot to work on. A friend of mine hates to read some of my post because of the way that they are written. I’m sure that my writings aggravate more than just him.

I do my best to respond to everyone that comments on my blog. I have my opinions and they have theirs. Kevin is a constant commenter. It would appear that most people just read the blog and do not comment. I’m okay with that. I do it for myself, not for other people.

I also do the other part that was talked about on ProBlogger today. I do go around and read other blogs and comment on them from time to time. This doesn’t always bring me traffic. I comment so that the owner of the blog knows that I visited. This will give them something, like my site, to attach to the person that posted the comment.

I would also say that when you comment that you should always link to your personal space on the internet. This will aid people with blogs to know who you are. People like to watch people. Not only is it fun, it is also interesting to see what other do in their lives.
