Music on Websites
Technorati Tags: music, websitesDon’t put music on your websites. If you have a player that is fine. If I want to listen to your music then I would. I don’t. So don’t do it.
Why is this annoying and will get your site closed out faster than it loaded? I’m playing my own music. I wanted to listen to what I was listening to, not what you want me to hear when I land on your page. If the web was meant for people to hear what others wanted them to, it would be a damn radio, not the internet.
Another reason to not do it, is that it makes your pages load slower. Download the song that you are going to make me listen to, and then I have pirated music on my PC. I am sure that you do not have a license to distribute that boy band shit. So don’t do it.
Last, but not least. If you are going to have music on your site. Put a damn stop button on it at the top. Make it clear. So when I load 10 tabs at a time I don’t have to close them all out just so I don’t have to listen to your teen-bop music that sucks.
That is all.

Now, don’t hold back. Tell us how you REALLY feel. LOL At one time some bloggers had a blacklist going of sites that automatically play video and audio. Maybe we should start another one.
Another thing I do not like is popups. Last night I had one that had 4 popups that my blocker caught. I thought, the blog must be REALLY bad if its covered in all those popups.
I do not like those full page ads either. Where you have to “skip this ad” to see the site.
What about all the SPAM sites and the ones that are never updated? Maybe we should start our own 300 list. Only the cool blogs can apply. LMAO

I kind of agree about the video and ad’s but the music isn’t a big deal to me. Now I don’t use any of these on my blog out of respect for my readers, but others never really bother me. I just can’t stand when a blog is more AD posts then content. I didn’t come to read your damn ad post, I came to read your writing on a real subject. Which is why I also do not do ad posts unless they relate to me like my company, or a family/friends company. Even then it is a link only and I can stand by their products as I have used them. Anyways I say lets kill all the tards that ruin blogging by ads and videos and music LOL.

Kevin: I put ads on my site to help off set the cost. This way the wife doesn’t bitch at me for my hobbies. Also remind me the next time that you are trying to listen to music to play something else in the background. This way the to clash and it sounds worse than whales mating.
CyberCelt: Every now and then you will see a full page ad here. but once you have seen the ad, it will not display to you anymore unless you kill your cookies. I try and keep this site as clean as possible. I know people want information and then they leave.
