When is it time to replace that desk?
Posted in adverts on November 7th, 2008For several years I worked off of a drafting table. It looked like it had been bought at wallie world. The top of it pivoted. Even worse were the burns in the table top from where I used to smoke in the apartment. What a party house that was. I digress.
There is a time when you need to buy a new desk. Unless you buy qualit office furniture, then you will need to do this just about every time you move.
The last time I bought one, I went glass tops. Still have them after 1 move and 3 years, give or take, later. Now the one before that, I had to rig to get it to stay together for the 2 years that I had it. With 3 17 inch CRT monitors sitting on it, I’m amazed that press wood held for as long as it did. I think that it fell apart when I took everything off of it.
Moral of the story is. Make sure you buy quality. Unless you plan on changing the look of your office in next 2 or 3 years.
