CFO baby

Posted in adverts on November 28th, 2008

The CFO at work will have a baby soon. In fact she is due tomorrow. It will not be long before she will need some more crib bedding from that little guy spitting up all over the stuff she currently has.

So hats off to her and dealing with that. I’m sure that my friend Kevin and his wife can relate. I can’t right now.

Run away Kitty

It would appear that our cat Breakfast has either ran away, gotten lost, someone has taken him, or something thing has happened. This really sucks. Breakfast is a cool cat. Just laid back and chilled.

I guess I could look at the brighter side of things. I will no longer have to buy as many pet supplies as I did before. I know that is a bad way to look at things. But dwelling about the loss of a cat, well, you really do need to look at the brighter side of things, even if they are monetary.

I wrecked my car yesterday

Yes, it was my fault. I didn’t see the back Accord beside the 18-wheeler. I mean with the black top and all it was kinda hard to see. I didn’t see it though. Maybe I need glasses, not sure.

The good thing is that no one was hurt, and I prevented the Accord from slamming into the driver door by putting my foot on the gas. I was half way out into the lane when I finally saw her. so everyone was okay.

The insurance company has done a wonderful job. They have already adjusted my car out. The totaled it. It is FUBARed. Well to the price that it would cost more to fix than it would be to just pay me off.

One good thing that I got when I bought the car is GAP insurance. I’m about 5k up-side-down on the car. I really didn’t want to have to shell out 5k over the next few years paying on a car that I couldn’t drive. It is a good thing that I bought GAP insurance.

So now I need to get another car. We will see what the creditors have to say this time. I know that from the wife’s medical bills and such, maintaining good credit is hard to do. We will just have to see.

Gears of War 2

Posted in Personal on November 23rd, 2008

This weekend was a blast. I rented Gears of War 2 so that I would be able to play with some friends of mine. So this weekend we all meet up at one of their homes and hooked it up on a lan party.

It has been a while since I have done a lan party with anything besides computers. We all had a blast, and the Horde is going down. Horde level 28 I think is where we are at. It really is a great game to be played.

How was everyone else’s weekend? Anything interesting happen?

Parts?

With the cost of gas going down, it seems like people will be able to afford gas again for their sports cars. What about exotic cars. Well I guess they are getting filled up as well.

You may need something like Ferrari parts for your car. I don’t own one of these cars, but I hear that they are fun to drive. I’m sure that they are just as costly to repair, which makes them completely out of my budget.
