Win a New Car

Posted in adverts on October 8th, 2008

Charter is giving away a car.

You heard that correctly. Charter is giving away a Honda Civic Hybrid. This just shows how much they are willing to go green, and wish to save people money. There really is nothing like a hybrid to show just how much savings either.

Some of the cars specs:
Polished Metal Metallic
Up to 45 mpg highway
Fabric interior
USB Audio Interface
110-hp, 8 valve, SOHC i-VTEC® 4-cylider engine
Continuously variable transmission
MP3 Auxiliary Input Jack

Charter is a cable company that provides high speed internet, cable TV and phone service. I used to have their service at the first apartment complex I lived at when I moved to Atlanta. I never really experienced a problem with their service. Being a geek, I only needed the high speed internet.

Most of the places that I have moved to after that have been another provider. I would go with Charter just based off of the give-a-way alone. They are willing to give away a clean burning car, to save the environment, cause less pollutants, and keep some green in your pocket.

So take the time and check out their service. Sign up for the contest. It is a great way to help keep this world around a bit longer. The less we change it, and the more we change ourselves, the longer humans will be able to live here.

Amie Street Music Wednesday #48

Amie St. Music Wednesday

It is October. This is by far the best time of the year. The month of November is great as well here in Georgia. It is Horror movie moth as well the turning of the leaves, and when reminder that death hits us all. Such a great time of year.

As for the creepy stuff this week we have The Creepshow. They are a punk band. I have really enjoyed the selection of punk type music that I have been building up on Amie Street. The Creepshow just rocked.

I love the drum beat behind Demon Lover. Of course, there isn’t even a reason to ask, the female vocals rock as well. I keep telling you, I’m addicted to rocking females. Heck, It is one thing that really attracted me to my wife.

The entire album is worth a listen. I enjoyed the entire album.

Focusing

Posted in Personal on October 8th, 2008

I really need to get more focus on projects then video games. I say this after talking about video games the first part of this week. I know it is crazy.

Lets look at something. I spend about 6 hours every night playing games for the most part. That is a full time job by most standards. Lets not even talk about the weekends, it is even more.

Yes guys, I am married, and No, my doesn’t mind. I give her time when she wants time. There are times when I don’t play at all and just watch TV with her. Although it is not much time. Normally I stand watching TV so when the show goes to commercial I head back to the computer or Xbox.

I know it is a strange habit. It is just hard for me to zone out on TV when I want to push buttons. I will zone out to just about anything though when I’m not fidgeting like a 2 year old. I even start to focus and analyze what is going on, and then the wife starts talking to me and I don’t hear a damn word she says. I have zoned and focused. Then I get in trouble. So it is best that I stay in my cave and just game or work on the computer for the most part. Keeps me out of trouble.

Need to change focus, with out focus being disrupted.
