Who to vote for?

Posted in Personal on August 27th, 2008

With the 2008 elections approaching, who do you vote for?

I am trying to watch things closely. I listen to NPR and the station that Sean Hannity is on. I keep listening to the bickering going on between the Ds and Rs. I’m not really happy with what I’m hearing.

The Ds are not being really harsh on the Rs, that makes me respect them more. The Rs are continuing to trash the Ds. No one is really saying HEY! WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE? No, all I here is what about my party? How is this going to look to my party? Will someone get egg on their face and that cause my party to loose the election?

Well on the drive home I have decided that I would vote for who ever I fill will cause this country to wake up. I’m not going to vote for the lessor of 2 evils or even 3 or 4. I’m going to vote for number 1. I want the worst possible person in office for the next 4, 8, or even 12 years.

I care so much about where this country is headed that I want it to start over. It needs to start over. The economy needs to be started from scratch.

The question is “Can we, as a nation or government, repair what is broken?” From the years that I have seen in the past 16, the answer is no. A D or a R can not fix this country. We are not talking about a few hundred thousand people any more. We are talking about millions of people.

What makes it tic?

When I was a child I used to have all types of toys. I even had a collection of He-Man action figures. It was fun and all, but what I enjoyed most about some of the toys that I had were the electronic ones.

At some point in my life, I lived in Henderson, NC. One year for Christmas I got a truck. It had lights that blinked, and it was motorized. My mother told me that in no way shape or form was I to take the truck apart.

Well it only took about 3 weeks. I hunkered myself down in the bathroom between my room and my brothers room. With screwdriver in hand I went to work. I had the truck in parts all over the floor when my mother started looking for me.

She knocked on the door. Then she said, “I know your not in there taking that truck apart.”

“GULP! I will be out in a minute.”

Needless to say that I have always enjoyed learning how things worked. Talking apart toys was just the beginning. I have moved on now from small electric motors and lights to computers. I fix things now rather than break them. Well I still break stuff, mostly in the process of getting it fixed.
