I should quit smoking

Posted in Personal on June 30th, 2008

I should quit smoking but I’m not sure that is what is causing me to cough so much today. I think that it is bug spray. Millipedes are able to get into our apartment from the outside. This means that our place is not an energy saver.

The wife really hate bugs. She is afraid that they will crawl on her in the middle of the night. I can understand that. Just the other day I would out side and a June Bug got in my pants. Scared the shit out of me. I took off my pants faster than I have before. It was weird to have something creepy and foreign in my pants. Insert penis joke here, and another one ().

So the wife decided that bug spray would be good for this. It is 2:00am and I’m trying to get some sleep. So she sprays the crap and I cover my head up. I didn’t want to breath the shit. I wasn’t really happy about it being sprayed after I had gone to bed any way.

Well the next time she gets the hair up ass for bug spray at 2:00am I’m just sleeping on the couch or at a hotel. I don’t like breathing in chemicals of that nature. I know I smoke, that is my choice. It was also my choice to sleep in a room that just had bug spray sprayed in it. It will not happen again.

I have been coughing all day long now. It is more than likely a combination of the bug spray and smoking. I don’t know what time she went to be, I’m going to assume that it was after the smell went away. It could just be that I have cancer of the lungs, and and I’m going to be dead in the next 6 to 12 months. Bug spray or not.

It is Sunday

Friday night I headed up to help out a friend move on Saturday. The lived about an hour away from me. I borrowed my brother’s pickup to help him move. Come to find out my bother needed to truck to help a friend of their’s move as well. Their friend didn’t have much to move, so he let me borrow the truck.

We got started later than I wanted to on Saturday with the move. So I called my brother up and let him know that I would help them move their friend as well. So I got my friend moved, well one truck load of the big stuff, and then I helped my brother move their friend. So I had a full day of moving everyone.

Syd and I went and watched the movies Wanted and The Hulk. Both movies were good. I liked Wanted the best out of them though. The final fight seen in Wanted was bad ass. That is all I’m going to say. You really should see it.

I slept most of the day away today. I was tired as hell from Saturday. I even fell asleep this afternoon reading a book. It is the night now and I’m getting some CoD4 time in. It is about time for me to retire. I think that with in the next 30 minutes I will head to bed and start reading again. Maybe it will help me pass out. TV seems to keep me awake at night sometimes.

Entrecard - 300

Posted in Personal on June 25th, 2008

I just got done dropping 300 Entrecards. That took some time. I’m really going to give this Entrecard thing a shot. I have been lingering on it for some time. I figured that I should drop some cards and visit some sites.

I will see what the payoff really is. My hope is that it will increase blog traffic some. I have about 40 minutes before I can attempt to drop another 300 before I go to bed. I’m not sure that I will be able to do that though. It takes me about 30 minutes of steady work and not reading a blog to be able to do it.

I will keep you informed of my findings.

Keeping the blog up

Posted in Personal on June 25th, 2008

You know, it is really hard at times to come up with something to write about on a blog. You will read things from make sure all of your content is yours and unique. Other things you read about is how to keep your readers interested in what you are witting about.

This to my surprise is harder than one might think. When you really do not want to bore people with the fact that you went and took an hour dump at work, so that you could catch up on reading because you don’t have time for it otherwise. No one wants to hear about that. Well they might, but I wouldn’t think that a large number of people would.

Another thing is, you really have to be entertaining to people. If they read something and it is a dud, then they will pass right over your blog. I know it happens, I do it all the time when I don’t like what I’m reading about.

You strive to get readers that you don’t even know. Why? Because you really would like people to like you. So you might even change who you are and what you write about. You get made when people do not comment and you are frustrated.

Then you stop blogging. You get tired of trying to think of stuff to put on a blog to make life an interesting read for other people. You sit back and check your site even though you are not blogging to see if you are still getting hits and if anyone is commenting, or if your spam filter has filled up.

Then you start blogging again. It starts off slow and it starts to build again. This time you are going to do things different. You will not complete the cycle that you did last time. You will write about what you feel like writing about. To hell with everyone and what they might think. To hell with the government and them trying to shut you up. Fuck the man you say.

You start complaining about everything in your life and how you hate this and hate that until you just do not have anything left to hate. Your ranks sore though the roof because you are writing about G.W. Bush, and the White House, and how stupid everyone in Congress really is. You think that the elections are a joke. You know that nothing can be done when the wheel is spinning this fast. They will catch you, but you don’t care. You now have the power of the people behind you. People that will never stand by you. But you never realize this.

Then the law comes knocking on your door to ask you why you called the Bush administration a bunch of dill weeds. Why you think Congress should rot in hell. Then you ask them if they like lawyers. They in turn say “No!”. Then you are like “then why did you elect the dumb asses into office”.

All of this because you wrote about how you really feel. Fuck the man. I don’t need him. I don’t need his high gas prices, I don’t need his protection, and I don’t need him telling me what I can and can’t do. I was raise right. I know what is right and wrong. I know that the government is wrong.

Then you tear the monsters out of your head. Creep back to your job, go to your cubicle, and start working like a good little drone. You know if you really said what was on your mind that they would toss you in jail. You would become a terrorist. You know that no one would stand by you. You are lost and angry. Angry with yourself and everyone around you for allowing the government to be what it has become.

An Elected Dictatorship.
