I signed up for Social Spark

Posted in Personal on May 21st, 2008

A while back I signed up for SocialSpark. So what is Social Spark?

Well Social Spark is a social networking site for bloggers and advertisers. You can promote your site as well as rate other blogs and users. Social Spark will also keep track of stats as well. You can see visits to your page and the “Real Rank” of your page according to Social Sparks page ranking system.

There are many things to do with in Social Spark with out even taking a paid opportunity. You have the ability to see if someone is willing to promote your blog in exchange for you promoting their blog. This really could help with the cross traffic posting and get you more visitors.

Reserving opportunities in Social Spark can be a pain. You have 12 hours to complete the assigned task from the time that the opportunity becomes available to you. This, to me, is an issue as where you may not always know if you got the opportunity. you may have to check the site every 12 hours to see if you need to make a post. The good thing about this is that it prevents link spamming the search engines.

There are several aspects of Social Spark that I have not even tried yet. I mainly signed up because of another way to make money online with Mouse Clone. I do not make a ton-o-money with Social Spark, but it can allow you to pay for your hosting cost. So for a few words a month you could have free hosting, to a degree, just some work on your side.

All opportunities with Social Spark, that contain links, have “no follow”. This means that the search engines will not follow the links. They will just read the words for the links. This is also another way to prevent the link spamming and paying for links. You will get the traffic for some of the key words, and people will follow those links from your site. This could even be more traffic for yourself.

So go on. What are you waiting for. Own a blog? Sign up for SocialSpark today!

Amie Street Music Wednesday #33

Amie St. Music Wednesday

I can’t help but to do this. This is a band that I hear every year at Moondance. It has just amazed me that I know someone on Amie Street. I’m just shocked that I found them on Amie Street. I even used to know someone that was part of the band. Crazy right?

Well because Moondance is this weekend, I have to set them up on here. It just would not be right. By now you are wondering just who is this band. Well the band is Spiral Rhythm.

The song Grandmother sticks out in my head the most. That is just because you can hear it from any where at the camp site. That is not a bad thing. I also remember it being one of the first songs that I hear around meal time. Everyone sits on the side of the hill, and enjoys eveyones company. I’m normally eating with about 20 people that I have meet over the years.

Today though, I’m going to say give Come and Dance a listen. It is up tempo. It is sure to be enjoyed by anyone that loves drums as well.

One last thing to point out. The type of drums you hear playing in the music, well, they play until about 3am on Friday and Saturday night. There is nothing like going to bed to the sound of the beating drums.
