People question me about how my wife is doing on almost a daily basis. I often forget that I have post here about what happened. Thus, I have not given an update on how she is doing. Well this post is just that, an update.

My wife, she is doing wonderfully well. It would appear that she is even less diebetic than the doctors thought. Lately the amount of insulin that she has been taken has been causing her sugar levels to drop below the safe level. So after not taking any for a few days, it appears that her sugar levels are elevated only slightly.

She has been taking the NPH as directed by the doctor, and that seems to be keeping the levels in the right spot for not. I’m sure she will continue to monitor her sugar levels to say in good health.

It looks as though the major problem was her thyroid. This is good news. She goes in for another sonogram in about a month. This is to check and see if the thyroid could have a polyp or something. If all turns out good, we shouldn’t have to go back for about 6 months or so for the next check up.

This is something that will continually have to be monitored. She will more than likely have to take medications for the rest of her life for the thyroid, and possibly the diabetes. We shall have to see.

For the most part, the wife has a clean bill of health. She even is enjoying skipping in the stores again. I know most wives don’t skip, much less in the store. You would just have to know my wife. She enjoys the simple things in life that adults seem to forget about, like skipping, even in stores.
