04-04-08 Braves Game

Posted in Personal on April 8th, 2008

I wanted to share some images that we took of the Braves game on Thursday. It was a great game. Even went into over time. It was really cold and wet though. I was ready to go before the game was over because I couldn’t feel my toes any more. So here are some images and I hope you enjoy them.

To Those That Game

Dear fellow gamers:

I have been playing Call of Duty 4 for a good while now. I love the game, and if I haven’t written a review about it yet it is because I am just busy playing the game.

Here is the reason why I am writing to you now though. My hands have started to hurt because of the hours and hours of playing this game. I could just be getting old, but I also type all day as well. Typing along with gaming is starting to make my hands crap up sometimes. I feel as though I will have to take a break from the console for a while. My hands need the rest.

PC gaming has never bothered me other than having my arms rest on the edge of a table for long periods of time. I think that I will be playing some Guild Wars and just some taking it easy games.

If your hands start hurting you from playing console games, or anything for that matter, to extended periods of time, give them a rest. You do not want to have problems feeding yourself later on in life because the spoon is not in the shape of a XBOX 360 controler, or what ever console you might be playing on.

Live long, live the opposing team, cap the flag, and take home the glory. How ever you game, take care of self first. With out you, I will have no one to kill.

Can you see me now?

All to often while using our cell phones we end up with dead or dropped calls. We are always asking, “can you hear me” or “are you there”.

Well in the world of global business there if video conferencing. This is done with a video conferencing bridge and a few other products. The great thing about it is that you can see who you are talking with.

A great use for this is if you have teams of people in different locations that need to get together on a project and talk about it. Depending on how the set up is, you could have the screen at the end of the table and it will reflect to the same type of table on the other end. This will make it look as though it is one large table and that everyone is in the room. they will just appear to be staring down a very long table.

Everyone should realize that this works over broadband. Why should this concern you? Well it will appear that if they can get good HD video over a broadband connection then it will be possible for video conferencing at the home level as well. I’m sure that thing are getting in place right now to deliver a video phone to your home. The land-line companies will have to compete with cell phones in some way. I see video phones as the only way to allow them to compete once again.
