This is, in my opinion, the best song for computer tech stuff since Yankovic Weird Al - Windows 95 Sucks!.

Soon to be released is Ubuntu 8.04, HardyHeron. As of this post there are 21 days left until the release.

If you are not a Ubuntu user then you really should try it. Personally this would appear to be a more complete OS in my opinion. Some of the tools that I have been waiting for to be put into Ubuntu will be in this release. There are also many other reason that you should try out Ubuntu.

In the recent PWN to OWN contest, the Ubuntu laptop is still standing. In fact I don’t know if it will be hacked. I’m not saying that it can’t be hacked, just doesn’t seem like someone is going to do it this week. You can follow the PWN to Own over at DVLabs blog.

There are more security enhancements in Ubuntu 8.04. So if you are a worry freak about your files and being hacked from someone outside your network, it would seem that Ubuntu is a good way to do just that. You can read more about the updates to Ubuntu here.

I have been using Ubuntu for the past 2 years. Although I work on MS Windows at work, I would convert them if I could. I think that it is a better OS. I think feel that Linux in general is a better OS as well. That is just me. I know that some people can’t deal with change, even if it is for the better.
