Is it ADD or do I just get bored?

Posted in Personal on February 19th, 2008

I tend to start project with every intent of finishing up the project.

One such project is Atlanix.org. It is not that I’m done with this project I just have not had time to do the project. I really should make some time though. It is going to be a great project once it is going. Just have to make the time for it.

Another project that I started and really have no interest in any more is Building Observer. This project was going to be about SEO, and how to make some money. I really don’t think that I have a clue. Well, I do, I just don’t have time to keep up with every rule and everything that changes in SEO on a daily basis. Even more so when Search Engines like Google decide to change the way that they rank pages every quarter.

My other project is 19 Inches Wide. I have recently made some changes but this site will take a very long time to develop. The blog for this site still gets a great number of hits. What I have stopped doing, and I don’t know why, is posting the scripts that I have written and talking about important news. It really is a tech blog/website. I have recently installed Drupal for the main page and will continue to work on this site.

Mouse Clone is the project I work on most often. I blog here and just express my thoughts. I get behind and don’t write as much some weeks. Other times I think about all of the stuff that I could blog about and don’t. I may even start a pod cast up or a vodcast. Vod-casting was the reason I started this blog but never got around to really doing video, and for that matter I never really got around to even doing voice. Guess that is what happens.

Over all I really enjoy 3 of the 4 projects. I just seem to have my time divided between them. I also take more personal time at times. This includes me playing Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Orange Box, Bioshock, GuildWars, and now Gears of War. I really should spend less time in the playing games and more time in the development of myself and projects. The working days just really seem to take it all out of me though.

As far as the ADD or just bored goes, maybe it is a little of both. Then again, being hyper-active is not that bad. You get a lot done if you can focus your energy.

The Bills are in

Posted in Personal on February 15th, 2008

They took no time getting the bills to us. So here is the run down.

X-Rays - 184.00
The Stay - 707.00
The Drugs - 16,784.00

We opened the drug bill first. I was floored, then I remembered that I had to pay for the illegals in the states as well. No really, I remembered that there is not much I can do about it right now. So I went on opening the other bills. I opened them in reverse order from what is listed above. By the time I got to the last bill I wasn’t really floored. Lets try that here.

The Drugs - 16,784.00
The Stay - 707.00
X-Rays - 184.00

See how the lower number at the end kinda make that large number go away, well makes you feel better.

Well I don’t know have much else to say right now. I guess I should have gotten health insurance, but I couldn’t really afford that either. It is a same how much a rip off everything is today. I would like to send a few shout out to those that made my bill so high.

1) Thank you illegals for not paying your bills and making the US public pay for your non-tax paying asses.

2) Thank you people for frivolous law suits, you have made the insurance that doctors carry cost more, thus increasing the cost of health care for everyone. How do you feel about your 3 million settlement now?

3) Just in general, I would like to thank the Hospital for charging us extra because they couldn’t get us out of the hospital faster. You charged us for taking over 30 min for a discharge when you were the hold up, thanks.

If you would like to donate to the manager of the hospital and doctor’s homes and cars, please send your donations via paypal. mark [at] mouseclone [dot] com is the account address. I am sure that they will thank you. I know I will.

Ok I was looking around on the web. You know surfing at work. Give me a break I was here until 12:30 last night…

At any rate, I was doing some site hopping with entrecard. I ran across GorillaSushi. I try my best to look though the sites some when I do some site hopping. Censored Count Was the funniest thing I have seen in a while. So here it is in all of its glory.

Amie Street Misic Wednesday #21

Amie St. Music Wednesday

Pillow Fight Club
I ran into this band while looking for some punk. I had heard the music earlier but I don’t think that I paid it much attention because I wasn’t in the mood for punk that day. Well today I happen to be.

Pillow Fight Club is good punk to me. They have a hard guitar sound, and great female vocals. I don’t know it is, I know I have said it before, chick rockers are so hot, even more so when they are just hot in general. Well I really think that I said that I just love chick vocals in a rock band, like “No Doubt”, that was good chick vocals.

So the song of the day for me is “Let me decide“. This song rocks. Just puts into words the fact that you can’t control someone else’s musical taste. Like it or not, the music or their choice, still the choice of the listener. That doesn’t mean that you can’t name call because someone is listening to a pop boy band.

So in honor of the song title, I will let you decide to like the song or not. Below you will find a video of them preforming the song and you can visit their myspace as well.

I hope that you have enjoyed this weeks Amie Street Music Wednesday!

Shameless plug

Posted in Amie Street Music Wednesday on February 12th, 2008

This is just going to be a shameless plug. Why? Because I would like to do some self promoting of Amie Street Music Wednesday (plug).

Ok, I know what your thinking, you don’t like listening to DRM free music. You do not like your songs being portable across many platforms. It is ok, I can understand that. You are more than like the same person that doesn’t like all of the choices that are at good salad bars. For you people I can only say one thing.

Freedom.

The freedom to take your music in any player you with.
The freedom to burn your music to CD/DVDs.
The freedom to backup your music.
The freedom to be DRM Free.

In fact you don’t even have to do your own backups with using Amie Street. The fact is that you can download a song you buy as many times as you wish.

I know that is just to much freedom for some of you. For you there is hope. You can either turn yourself into the RIAA so that they can shove a cattle prod up your ass, or you can convert to DRM Freedom. I’m sure there are other choices, but really wouldn’t you rather switch and listen to what you like, not what someone in suits want you to listen to.

Give Amie Street a chance.
