You know I really don’t understand people sometimes. They make things more difficult for themselves because they refuse to bend. Then you show them how to bend and they are ok with it. I will never understand this. I guess I’m that way as well about somethings.

I’m sure by now you are wondering what in the world I’m talking about. Well…

I’m talking about that fact that in computers people seem to blow things out of whack. A lady at work was having problems with her labels and the program that she uses to make them. Clickstrip. It is some proprietary software that only prints labels and only on a certain type of label paper. This software also remembers what was the last label that you printed.

She wanted to have 2 of them so depending on what label she was using she would have different formats. It is hard to explain because she was using spaces in the last name field so that she would be able to get the label the way she wanted it even though the label template was not made for that sort of thing.

The simple way to do it to keep the format is just create a txt file with the format in it. Save that out and copy paste it in when you would like to use it. It is really that simple. Sure it is a couple more steps, but it stops the double install of software. Software that the users really only know how to use one way.
