I got a little bored today and thought that a blackberry milkshake would be great! So I got to work.

One of our wedding gifts was a Magic Bullet. This is turning out to be a great little blender for quick and easy stuff.

Back to the milkshake.

I used about 1/4 cup of blackberries, a cup of ice cream, and 1/4 cup of milk. Do not ever make a milkshake with ice cream and ice. The ice melts and you have a water shake. Take a look at the image below.

Then you blend it up. What is great about the Magic Bullet is that you can pick it up and shake it so that you can get the ice cream down on the blades without having to cut it off. You will also notice that I put in the blackberries first then the ice cream, and milk last. I don’t think that the milk matters the order but the good thing about blackberries first is that when the ice cream turned purple I knew that is was all mixed up.

The other nice thing about the Magic Bullet is that when you are done your blender turns into a cup with a handle. This really is a handy little device. I have really only used this thing for milkshakes. There are tons of other uses for it. I just have not gotten around to making that frozen fruit punch margarita yet.
