Man, it is 1:35 in the morning and I should really get to bed. I wanted to let everyone know that I bought my wife 1 dozen yellow roses. Yellow roses are her favorite. The year went by so quickly and we have had some ups and downs. The good thing is that we are learning to work more as a team instead of individuals.

Working together has got to be the hardest thing to do. I lived on my own for about 6 years before I met Sydney. I was very much used to doing things my own way and just going with the flow. I can’t always do that now. I think that is the hardest part of being married. We have had some arguments about money and other things. As long as we worked together though everything has turned out well.

For all of you married people out there, or those that are thinking about getting married, remember this: You have to communicate and you have to meet in the middle. Both of you should give on somethings. Pick your battles. Fighting over what movie to go and see is not worth it.

That is about all of the advice I can really offer. The rest really depends on the people involved and how much they are willing to work with one another. I’m not an expert, but nor is Dr. Phil.
