Eating in…

Posted in Personal on August 27th, 2007

It seems that it is getting tougher to eat in.  I really do not want to go out but I really do get lazy sometimes and just want to go and eat out.  I guess I will get off of my ass and go fix some dinner.  Anything will work.  Maybe some good ol’ butter noodles with pepper and other spices.  Maybe just a PB&J.

Well no matter what I fix.  I will try and get back to posting something more interesting later own tonight.

Dragoncon!

Posted in V-mail Monday on August 27th, 2007

Dragoncon is this weekend in Atlanta! In order of the celebration I’m seeting up the ability to call a voice mail box. All you have to do is type in your phone number and call it. It will call your phone and you can leave a message. I will be post the message back here for everyone to listen to.

The theme is talking like Chewbacca. So give it a shot. I will not be publishing your phone numbers or anything else. Just the messages that you leave.

Click to Call, be the next one

Rainy day Sunday

Posted in Personal on August 26th, 2007

You know I’m glad that I have started writing on Mouseclone again. I have missed writing on it so much and it is more personal to me. 19incheswide is a great site as well, but it is more about work and how I have done things than really about me. Although, work is an extension of oneself, and that should also be taken into account of who we all are.

I was looking though some of the links in my blogroll and noticed “The Simple Dollar“. Wow, this site is reminding me of some changes that me and my wife have been going though lately. Other than yesterday, I have not gone anywhere this weekend. I have saved the gas for work and no play. This doesn’t mean that I’m not playing. I have the computer, XBox, GameCube and other things. Not only that, but I have spent some time with the dog, more so than usual, and I have managed to just waist time doing nothing, that is not something that I normally do.

Then again when going over the bills it is really hard to take my spending habits. $120+ in crap every week. That is going to the store in the morning for a Redbull and other things. Going to the store in the afternoon for another drink and a snack if I’m hungry, and lunch 5 days a week at $10 a pop. That is a lot of bad spending habits. This past week? Well lets just say it was around $10 for the whole week. Yep, I said it, I made it on $10 for the week and that is just because I woke up late on Friday and forgot my lunch.

I was also spending about $80 to $100 in gas each week. I almost made it til Friday with out filling up. My car takes $45 to fill up. Doing that 2 times a week really adds up. I get about 24 mph on the interstate and about 17 mph on the surface streets. Why such a difference in gas millage? Well my car is almost 24 years old, it is a rotory motor, and it has well over 140k miles on it. I drive about 40 miles one way to work and I live in Atlanta. Those that live around here know that sitting in traffic does nothing for your gas millage.

My wife and I are looking for something closer to where I work. This would save us money on the gas that I spend as well. Why are we doing all of this? We want a house, plan and simple. In the long run it will help up to develop good spending habits as well.

Well I’m in need of getting some more work done. I almost feel like I’m working two jobs.

Not a very busy day…

Posted in Personal on August 25th, 2007

Well I would like to say that today was not a very busy day but then I would be lying.  I did lay around in the bed for some time before getting up and returning phone calls from work.  Yes, I work on Saturdays as well, It is more like Monday at 1am til Saturday ’til 6pm.  I’m all call during the time I’m not at the office.

I did get some things done.  Collected a check form one of my side jobs and picked up some things from my brothers house.  It was somethings that I had left down at my Dad’s when I went to help him around his house because he hurt his back.

The wife and I made some lunch, and sat around talking about a few things.  Yelled at the dog for trying to eat our lunch as well.  I wish I know how to train this dog.  When I was younger is seemed easier.

Check up on my other blog at 19incheswide.com.  I think that site will just become a blog as well.  It is so hard to think about building content for a site when the blog isn’t easy to run itself.

Amie Street

Posted in Personal on August 24th, 2007

Amie Street is a great site. You can listen and recommend music to others. It is great for finding artist that you just normally wouldn’t hear. Some of it is not good. Really, some of it is just awful sounding. It is a good way to pass some time though and give your ear a listen to some thing new. If you sign up please add me to your friends list. My user name is mouselcone.
